About Jim Goudie

Jim Goudie is a lifelong resident of Humber-Gros Morne. Currently living in Reidville, Jim was raised in Deer Lake by his parents Carl and Ruth Goudie and graduated from Elwood High in 1979. After graduation, Jim went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education degree from Memorial University which then he was a teacher for the next 7 years in Deer Lake, Hampden, Woody Point and Harbour Deep. In 1992 Jim was accepted to study law at Dalhousie University and obtained this degree in 1995, he has been practicing law in Deer Lake ever since.

Jim is quite involved in the community, from serving as director of the Deer Lake Regional Airport Authority, the Deer Lake Public Health Centre, chairman of the Eric Normore Memorial Foundation Inc. and President of the Deer Lake Chamber of Commerce, he brings a wealth of experience as a PC Party Candidate and the next MHA for Humber- Gros Morne.
