David Thomlyn is a firm believer that strength and a brighter future starts with action, David built his life from the ground up starting on oil rigs at 18, leading offshore safety on major projects around the world and always putting people first.

When David faced kidney failure and received a lifesaving transplant, it gave him a new perspective and an even deeper drive to serve. He saw the incredible heart in our healthcare system, the strength of our communities, and the resilience of our people. He knew there is nothing we can’t overcome, together.

That’s why he’s stepping up to help lead Newfoundland and Labrador toward the future we all believe in.

David is focused on solutions that uplift every corner of our province investing in healthcare so families get the care they deserve, growing our local medical workforce, and supporting mental health and wellness from the ground up. His leadership is rooted in action, compassion, and pride in who we are.

We are people built on grit, generosity, and strength. Our natural resources are powerful, but our greatest resource has always been each other. With the right leadership, there’s no limit to what we can achieve.
