“A vote for a PC government is a vote for jobs and growth. A vote for Andrew Furey is a vote for cuts and job losses. The choice is clear,” said Crosbie.”

(January 18, 2021) – PC Leader Ches Crosbie says bringing jobs back to Newfoundland and Labrador is the only way to return our province to prosperity.

Today, Crosbie announced strategies that will be employed by a PC Government to grow the economy, not cut our province to the bone.

“No jurisdiction has ever cut its way to prosperity. That’s why the PC Party has a plan to encourage job growth, strengthen innovation, and give businesses the opportunity to succeed in Newfoundland and Labrador,” said Crosbie.

“Business big and small are the backbone of any economy and a PC government will foster an environment of growth for business across Newfoundland and Labrador.”

• A Venture Capital Fund will see $10 million invested to help local companies expand their footprint in the province and expand exports.

• A PC government will Slash Red Tape, freeing businesses from any outdated rules that restrict job growth.

• A PC government will launch a Remote Workers pilot project to attract people to Newfoundland and Labrador who are working remotely.

• A PC government will finish the job started by previous PC administrations and ensure 98% internet connectivity to all residents by 2025.

• A PC government will ensure Innovation and Business Supports are available province wide. A business in Northwest River will be able to access the same government support as a business on Water Street.

• A PC Government would view every government policy through a Job Creation Lens to ensure a whole of government approach to job creation in Newfoundland and Labrador.

“A PC government will view all aspects of government through a Jobs First Lens to ensure all decisions made are beneficial to job and economic growth throughout Newfoundland and Labrador,” said Crosbie.

“A vote for a PC government is a vote for jobs and growth. A vote for Andrew Furey is a vote for cuts and job losses. The choice is clear,” said Crosbie.”
