Crosbie reaffirms PC commitment to PET Scanner
“I want the people of Western Newfoundland to know my commitment is rock-solid. Elect a PC government and we’ll deliver your PET scanner – on time.”

(January 26, 2021) – Declaring “a promise is a promise,” Ches Crosbie reaffirmed a PC government will deliver a PET scanner to the Corner Brooke Regional Hospital when it opens.

“This sad, embarrassing saga has gone on too long,” said Crosbie.

“The people of Western Newfoundland deserve transparency, they deserve the truth, and they deserve a firm commitment. That’s why a PC government will be fully behind a PET scanner for the Corner Brook Regional Hospital when it opens – no ifs, ands, or buts.”

Crosbie says he’s spoken with many voters who fear that, under the Liberals, a PET Scanner will never come to the region.

“Many are concerned the Liberals will continue to find excuses to delay and kick the can down the road. Others are worried that Andrew Furey will use the Greene Report as an excuse to kill the PET scanner for good,” said Crosbie.

“I want the people of Western Newfoundland to know my commitment is rock-solid. Elect a PC government and we’ll deliver your PET scanner – on time.”
