(December 8, 2021) – The Provincial Executive of the Progressive Conservative Party of Newfoundland and Labrador has announced the co-chairs and members of the committee that will oversee the upcoming leadership process under the Party's Constitution.

PC Party Chief Communications Officer Rhonda McMeekin and former Cabinet Minister Shawn Skinner will co-chair the Leadership Selection Committee. Brief bios follow in the Backgrounder.
Other members of the committee are Ray Andrews, Jessica Babb, Carla Hayes, John Noseworthy and Ethan Williams.

Members of the general public who wish to participate in the selection of the leader must be a member or supporter of the PC Party of NL under the terms specified in the Rules at the yet-tobe-announced time of voting. Additional information will be released in the coming months.

The Rules, released earlier this summer, cover a wide range of matters pertaining to the leadership selection process, and include stringent provisions for candidate spending limits, professional auditing and full disclosure.

Backgrounder:
Brief Bios of the Co-Chairs
Rhonda McMeekin, a post-secondary educator, currently serves at the Chief Communications
Officer for the Progressive Conservative Party of Newfoundland and Labrador. Ms. McMeekin is
a 20 year veteran volunteer with the party.

Shawn Skinner, a Chartered Manager, is a former provincial Cabinet Minister who served in
various portfolios. He also served as a St. John's City Councillor from 1993 to 1997 and 2020 to
2021. Mr. Skinner is a lifelong volunteer with the PC Party of NL
