(January 26, 2022) – David Brazil, PC Official Opposition Leader and MHA for Conception Bay East-Bell Island, says on #BellLetsTalk Day we all must remember that mental health is not a single day issue for so many Newfoundlanders and Labrador.

“Mental health challenges take many forms, big or small, in the daily life of so many Newfoundlanders and Labradorians. It may take the form of a short-term crisis, but for many mental health is a journey travelled over months and years. We must remember to support increased availability of all mental health services, short and long-term alike,” said Brazil.

“Today, we take the opportunity to reflect on the journey travelled so far. Today, we listen to ways we can make mental healthcare more accessible and barrier free in Newfoundland and Labrador. But every day, lets remember to be kind to ourselves, to not be afraid of reaching out for help when it’s needed, and to do everything in our power in improve mental health services in Newfoundland and Labrador.”
