(April 28, 2022) – Tony Wakeham, PC Official Opposition Shadow Minister of Finance and MHA for Stephenville-Port au Port, is repeating an earlier question, asking how high Finance Minister Siobhan Coady will allow gas prices to rise before she steps in and takes action.
“For months, my Progressive Conservative colleagues and I have been suggesting ways to keep gas prices reasonable, but Minister Coady has failed to take action. So I must ask, how high will she let gas prices rise?” said Wakeham
This is not the first time Wakeham has asked this question.
“Back in February, I asked this very same question. Now that the price of gas has exceeded $2 per litre. I feel that I must ask it again. Will Minister Coady take action before it reaches $2.50, $3, $4? How high will this Liberal government let gas prices rise?” said Wakeham.
“Action is overdue. The Liberals must do the right thing and help Newfoundlanders and Labradorians afford to live in this province.”
