Strong, Focused Official Opposition in the People’s House of Assembly
The people of our province expect their legislature to be focused and efficient. Our team will work hard to ensure the issues important to the people of our province are addressed.
The Official Opposition has an obligation to hold the government’s feet to the fire, scrutinize decisions, measure the impacts on people and offer alternatives. We are already preparing to do just that.
We are proud of the tremendous progress our province has made over the past 12 years under PC administrations. We are determined to do what we can to protect those gains and build on them.
Yes, these are tough economic and fiscal times—but we will not allow the government to use that reality as an excuse for poor decision-making.
We know it is possible to bring forward a responsible, balanced, long-range plan to guide the province through tough times, because that is precisely what we did in 2015.
The government made many commitments, and we will be vigilant in tracking their progress. At every step along the way, we will be demanding openness and accountability. No one will be getting an easy ride on our watch.
Keep in contact with us by telephone, post or email about issues of concern to you and your community.
