(June 16, 2022) – David Brazil, PC Official Opposition Leader and MHA for Conception Bay East – Bell Island, is responding to Premier Furey’s statement yesterday concerning hidden Cabinet decisions and that his “…government shares them publicly.”

allNewfoundlandLabrador reported this week that they filed an access to information request in April to request 41 missing cabinet decisions which have now been posted. The PC Official Opposition has identified at least 14 additional Orders in Council that are being hidden from the public since Furey became Premier.

The following Orders in Council remain hidden by the Furey government:

2022 - OC2022-034, OC2022-092, OC2022-093, OC2022-098, OC2022-117, OC2022-118, OC2022-119

2021 - OC2021-112, OC2021-113, OC2021-298, OC2021-330

2020 - OC2020-221, OC2020-258, OC2020-283

Brazil says, “For the Premier to say that he makes these decisions public is a fabrication. It’s time for the Premier to come clean with the people of Newfoundland and Labrador and stop hiding information.”
