(October 27, 2023, St. John’s): Tony Wakeham, PC Official Opposition Leader and MHA for Stephenville-Port au Port, has announced the new Official Opposition Shadow Cabinet.

“The number one focus of our Progressive Conservative caucus is people,” Wakeham said.

“As some of our caucus continue in roles they know well and others take on new challenges, all of us as a Shadow Cabinet are renewing our commitment to hold this eight-year-old government to account for its poor choices and the impact on people, and offer something better,” said Wakeham.

“When we’re seeing people suffering from this Liberal government’s bad decisions and absent leadership right across the spectrum, we feel compelled to fulfill our obligation to call out this government’s choices, demand better and offer an alternative.

“Our caucus team will be digging into the facts of this government’s record, and holding them to account for the impact of their choices on people throughout Newfoundland and Labrador,” said Wakeham.

“When a government refuses to hear what people are saying and prioritize people’s needs, we as a caucus will be even more vigorous and vocal in bringing people’s concerns right to their doorstep in the House of Assembly and demanding a change.”
