St. John’s, NL (October 18, 2018) – Opposition Leader Ches Crosbie has expressed his appreciation to Paul Davis, who announced today he will retire as the MHA for Topsail–Paradise on November 2, 2018.

“Newfoundlanders and Labradorians owe Paul a great debt of gratitude for his many years of service and leadership.” said Crosbie

Paul was first elected as the MHA for Topsail in 2010 and served since then as a Cabinet Minister in several portfolios, as Leader of the PC Party, as the 12th Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador and as the Leader of the Official Opposition.  He was last elected as the MHA for the newly defined district of Topsail-Paradise in 2015.

“The challenges of public service are never easy, but Paul stepped up because he wanted to make a difference in the lives of people – and that he has done.  Through hard work, integrity and an unfailing commitment to people, Paul has provided an enduring example of service for those who will step forward to build on the work he has done.”

"On behalf of our colleagues in Caucus, I extend my very best wishes to Paul and his family as they take this next step in their lives.”
