St. John’s, NL (January 14, 2019) – PC Opposition Leader Ches Crosbie wants Premier Ball and Minister O'Regan to clear up the confusion they have brewed over whether federal-provincial rate mitigation talks have started yet.

O'Regan said on September 6, 2018 the talks were underway, but changed his story the very next day.

Ball recently came around to Crosbie's position that Ottawa has to be a major part of the solution, but refuses to say what he's been doing to bring Ottawa to the table.

"Are the provincial and federal Liberal governments talking yet about a rate mitigation plan, or are they not? It's a straightforward question that demands a straightforward answer."
