At the close of nominations, the Provincial Executive of the Progressive Conservative Party announced that two nominees are seeking to become the PC candidate in the upcoming general election in the District of Stephenville – Port Au Port: Mr. Craig Mason and Mr. Tony Wakeham.
The Nomination Meeting to select the PC candidate for Stephenville – Port Au Port will take place Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm
The nomination meeting will be held in four locations:
Lourdes: Town Hall Building
Port Au Port East: Seniors 50+ Club Building
Degrau: Benoit First Nation Building
Stephenville: St. Anne’s Hall, 78 West Street, Stephenville
Under Article 12 of the PC Constitution, in order to be eligible to vote in the Nominating Meeting, a person must be “ordinarily resident in the Electoral District at the date of the Nominating Meeting.”
Under Article 5 of the PC Constitution, in order to be eligible to vote in the Nominating Meeting, a person must become a Party Member or Supporter as defined in the PC Constitution.
A person may apply to become a Member or Supporter of the Party by signing up on the Party website or submitting a paper application which can be found at www.pcpartynl.ca. Members may also register at the polling stations on nomination voting day.
Identification will be required to register and/or vote. Acceptable forms of identification are as follows:
