At the close of nominations, the Provincial Executive of the Progressive Conservative Party announced that four nominees are seeking to become the PC candidate in the upcoming general election in the District of Harbour Main:

Mr. Curtis Buckle
Mr. Gary Lane 
Mr. Robert Myers 
Ms. Helen Conway Ottenheimer

The Nomination Meeting to select the PC candidate for Harbour Main will take place Monday April 22, 2019  from 4:00pm to 8:00pm The nomination meeting will be held in three locations:

Parish Hall, Marysvale 
Town Office, Clarke’s Beach
Star of the Sea, Holyrood

Under Article 12 of the PC Constitution, in order to be eligible to vote in the Nominating Meeting, a person must be “ordinarily resident in the Electoral District at the date of the Nominating Meeting.”

Under Article 5 of the PC Constitution, in order to be eligible to vote in the Nominating Meeting, a person must become a Party Member or Supporter as defined in the PC Constitution.

A person may apply to become a Member or Supporter of the Party by signing up on the Party website or submitting a paper application which can be found at www.pcnl.ca. Members may also register at the polling stations on nomination voting day.

Identification will be required to register and/or vote. Acceptable forms of identification are as follows:

  • Identification that shows your full name, current address and signature (ie driver’s licence)
  • Party identification with one piece of ID
  • Two pieces of ID; one piece must identify name & address

Alternate identification methods:

  • Confirmation by a registered member of the party
    • Guarantors form to be completed and signed by a guarantor at the polling station in the presence of a party official which confirms a voter identity and current address
