“Don’t Mess With Ches!”

PC Leader Ches Crosbie took his campaign for Honest Leadership to the site of a $40 million Liberal-subsidized marijuana grow-op on Thursday.

“We still don't know why a cannabis company worth many billions needs a $40 million gift from the Ball Liberal government, or who is behind the numbered company at 7 Plank Road, St. John's which is getting paid $40 million leasing land to Canopy Growth,” said Crosbie.

“A Crosbie government will weed out cronyism that curbs competition and kills jobs instead of creating them.  People are fed up with overtaxing Liberals wasting taxpayers’ hard-earned money on freebies for their friends.”

“When I look at the last four years, I see a government that created a leadership crisis.  Dwight Ball tolerated behaviour in the Liberal caucus that produced allegations of harassment and a ‘culture of intimidation’, as stated by his own former Minister of Finance.  He appointed Liberal friends to positions of authority without regard to qualifications or proper process.”

“The Liberal platform does not include honest leadership.  By contrast, the first law I pass in the legislature will be the Honesty in Politics Act.  And Question Period will become Answer Period, in which ministers are required to answer questions truthfully and responsively.”
