St. John’s, NL (August 6, 2019) – PC Opposition Leader Ches Crosbie is extending condolences on behalf of the PC Caucus and Party to the family and friends of Jim Morgan, who passed away on August 4.
Morgan served as the MHA for Bonavista South from 1972 to 1989 in the caucuses of Frank Moores and Brian Peckford, and also served in the portfolios of Fisheries; Forestry and Agriculture; Tourism; and Transportation and Communications.
Crosbie said, "Jim Morgan stepped up to serve in the House of Assembly, and did so with passion for 17 years. He had a lasting impact on our province and has earned our respect and appreciation."
"The loss of Jim is a loss to our party, which he faithfully served for decades," said Crosbie. "To all who knew him, we – both as a caucus and as a party – extend our deepest condolences. Jim was a role model for people in communities throughout our province who should be encouraged to do what he did by stepping up to serve."
“To his wife Denise, daughter Kimberly and entire family, we offer our deepest sympathies.”
