St. John’s, NL (August 8, 2019) – PC Opposition Leader Ches Crosbie is extending condolences on behalf of the PC Caucus and Party to the family of Glen Greening, who very recently passed away.

Greening served as the MHA for Terra Nova for a decade from 1983 to 1993.

Crosbie said, "Glen stepped forward when a vacancy became available in the House in late 1983, and was elected in a by-election. He served for six years in the government caucuses of Brian Peckford and Tom Rideout. He continued to serve in opposition for another four years in the caucuses of Rideout and Len Simms.”

“He may not have been the loudest of MHAs, but he demonstrated what it meant to be consistently effective, working tirelessly behind the scenes, raising issues of concern to his constituents in the House, and speaking up when the best interests of the province were on the line.”

"Losing Glen is a loss to our party, but at the same time, we are stronger because he stepped forward to serve and set an example for others who want to make a difference for their communities and their province," said Crosbie.

"Both as a caucus and as a party, we extend our deepest sympathies to all who knew him.”
