St. John’s, NL (September 27, 2019) PC Opposition Leader Ches Crosbie is extending congratulations on behalf of the Official Opposition to the recipients of the 2019 Public Service Awards of Excellence.

The Public Service Award of Excellence is the highest honour an employee can receive from the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. This award is given to employees who make outstanding contributions to the public service.

This year there were seven people honoured consisting of four individuals and one team:

 

  • Jacqueline Carey – Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation
  • Bernadette Duke – Children, Seniors and Social Development
  • Connie Fry – Health and Community Services
  • Cory Grandy – Transportation and Works
  • Intimate Partner Violence Unit – Constable Nadia Churchill, Constable Lindsay Dillion and Crime Analyst, Malin Enström, Royal Newfoundland Constabulary

 

“A highly skilled, talented and competent public service is critical to making our province a better place to live, work and visit. Being employed in the public service is often challenging and requires a high level of skill, dedication and integrity. These seven individuals exemplify what it means to be a public servant and have demonstrated excellence, professionalism and outstanding performance. On behalf of the Official Opposition, I want to offer our congratulations and thank you for your dedication and commitment to the public service and to the people of Newfoundland and Labrador” says Crosbie.
