St. John's, NL (September 17, 2020) – Ches Crosbie, PC Opposition Leader and MHA for Windsor Lake, is extending condolences on behalf of the PC Caucus and PC Party to the family and friends of former speaker, and PC MHA for Waterford Valley, Mr. Harvey Hodder.

Crosbie says, “We offer our deepest condolences to the friends, family, and loved ones of Mr. Harvey Hodder. Mr. Hodder was a statesman in the truest sense of the word and dedicated his life to public service. The province of Newfoundland and Labrador is a better place because of him.”

Mr. Hodder was elected as the mayor of Mount Pearl on four separate occasions and sat as a member of the House of Assembly from 1993 to 2007.

“He was respected by everyone that had the privilege to have met him,” ended Crosbie.
