St. John's, NL (December 21, 2020) – Craig Pardy, PC Official Opposition Critic for Education and MHA for Bonavista, is congratulating all school staff, administrators, teachers, parents and students on an exceptional first half of the school year.

Pardy was reflecting on the many challenges schools have faced this fall including lack of busing, substitute teacher shortages, and evolving public health guidelines.

“As a former teacher and principal myself, I can only imagine the stress and complexity of a school year during the COVID-19 pandemic. I have heard from so many parents and guardians who feel the first half of the school years has, for the most part, been a safe and wonderful experience for their children. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of all members of the school community: administrators, teachers, student assistants, administrative staff, custodians, bus drivers, parents and students.”

Pardy took the time to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and safe and successful conclusion to the school year in 2021.
