PC Party Nomination Meeting Announced for the Districts of St. George’s - Humber and Placentia – St. Mary’s.
A person may apply to become a Member or Supporter of the Party by signing up on the Party website which can be found at www.pcnl.ca. Members must register by 5:00pm on January 11th to be eligible to vote.

St. George’s - Humber

At the close of nominations in the district of St. George’s – Humber, the Provincial Executive of the Progressive Conservative Party announced that two nominees are seeking to become the PC candidate in the upcoming general election in the District: Mr. Gary Bishop and Mr. Tom O’Brien.

Out of an abundance of caution and due to current COVID-19 restrictions, the nomination vote to select the PC candidate for St. George’s - Humber will take place via telephone vote. The deadline to sign up as a member or supporter to vote in this nomination will be January 11, 2021 at 5:00pm. Voting will take place between the hours of 4:00pm and 8:00pm on January 13 and 14, 2021. Registered members and supporters will receive a telephone call during these designated hours, will verify their identification, and will cast their vote with the party at that time.

Under Article 15 section 6 of the PC Constitution: “Eligible voters entitled to vote for a person to be elected as the Party Candidate are those persons who are members or supporters of the District Association, Ordinarily Resident in the Electoral District at the date of the Nominating Meeting and who are not less than fourteen (14) years of age either at the date of the nominating meeting or at the date of the election, if the date of the election has been set.”

A person may apply to become a Member or Supporter of the Party by signing up on the Party website which can be found at www.pcnl.ca. Members must register by 5:00pm on January 11th to be eligible to vote in the Humber – St. George’s Nomination Meeting.

 

Placentia - St. Mary’s

At the close of nominations in the district of Placentia St.- Mary’s, the Provincial Executive of the Progressive Conservative Party announced that three nominees are seeking to become the PC candidate in the upcoming general election in the District: Ms. Jessica Higdon-Reid, Mr. Calvin Manning and Mr. Kevin McEvoy.

Out of an abundance of caution and due to current COVID-19 restrictions, the Nomination vote to select the PC candidate for Placentia – St. Mary’s will take place via online and telephone vote. The deadline to sign up as a member or supporter to vote in this nomination will be January 11, 2021 at 5:00pm. Members and supporters will receive communication via their preferred voting method as indicated on their membership/ supporter registration form with a unique voter PIN and voting instructions. Voting will begin at 8:00am on January 14, 2021 and will conclude at 5:00pm on January 15, 2021.
