St. John's, N.L. — The Provincial Executive of the Progressive Conservative Party of Newfoundland and Labrador is pleased to announce that, following the close of nominations and the candidate vetting process, two nominees have been accepted as candidates seeking to represent the PC Party in the upcoming general election for the district of St. George’s – Humber:
- Mr. Hal Cormier
- Mr. Darrell Shelley
The Nomination Meeting to select the Progressive Conservative candidate for St. George’s – Humber will take place on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
Voting will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the following locations:
- Pasadena Lions Club, 87 Midland Row, Pasadena
- Fire Hall, 73 West Street, Stephenville Crossing
- Royal Canadian Legion Branch 60, Jeffreys
- St. Ann's Centre, Upper Ferry
To participate in the nomination process, individuals must meet the following criteria as per the Constitution of the Progressive Conservative Party of Newfoundland and Labrador:
- Be a resident of the St. George’s – Humber district.
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Be a registered Member or Supporter of the Progressive Conservative Party of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Membership applications can be completed online at www.pcnl.ca/membership or submitted using a paper application, also available on the Party’s website.
The deadline to register to vote in this nomination process is 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
